Laura's Story
A purely food-based approach to fertility, grounded in research.
"There are several good clinics in Barcelona for donor eggs."
Hearing that from my OB/GYN was when my fertility journey ended, and my real journey — my infertility journey — started.
Everyone your whole life tells you that if you have unprotected sex, you're going to get pregnant. So when it's time to get pregnant, you kind of expect it just to happen, right? Well, that's not what happened to me. And, after trying everything the best of western medicine had to offer when nature didn't take her course, Barcelona was presented as the sensible plan B.

But before I got on a plane, I wanted to be absolutely sure that there was nothing left as part of plan A.
Turns out, there was a lot left. Hundreds of lots, actually. Books and peer-reviewed medical research that all pointed to one thing: diet. And since doctors get under 20 hours of training in nutrition, on average, it was no surprise that food had never been mentioned. But the research on food and fertility exists. It's rigorous, it's peer-reviewed, and it's published in world-class journals. And if you can figure out how to get it to apply to your exact situation, research-supported dietary changes may be enough to turn you into the mom that you want to be.
Fork-First is what I built after I did that work, so you don't have to.
