About Fork-First Fertility

A purely food-based approach to fertility, grounded in decades of research.

Fork-First Fertility is a natural, 100% food-based approach to fertile health, built on the knowledge that food has a huge impact on fertility. This isn’t just our opinion: it’s a claim backed by thousands of peer-reviewed studies and thousands of women who have improved their fertility simply by changing what they eat. Large studies, including the Nurses’ Health Study and PRESTO, show that what a woman eats is associated with her fertile health, and that is great news for any woman seeking to improve her fertility.

However, despite what social media, well-meaning friends, and even some clinic handouts may tell you, there is actually no single, proven “fertility diet”. One source says to eat more carbohydrates; another says to cut them. Dairy is a fertility food in one post and something to eliminate in the next. With enough scrolling, you may be led to understand that tofu, whole-grain breads, and the Mediterranean diet might be the answer, or at least part of it. But foods and diets outside of the context of the right ones for any given individual mean that nothing changes.

The problem is not a lack of effort. The problem is a lack of personalization. Even the Mayo Clinic has said there is no one diet proven to work for every woman trying to conceive. The correlation of dietary change and fertility in the literature is real. However, what it cannot do, on its own, is tell you which of those conclusions about diet belong to you. What helps the average participant in a study may be the wrong pattern for the woman sitting in front of her next meal.

That’s why we built Fork-First. We took the research, the books, the studies, and what we have learned from hundreds of conversations with women and medical practitioners, and turned them into a powerful tool. Our proprietary algorithm maps inputs from answers to an extensive questionnaire against a detailed model of how food shapes fertility, scores hundreds of foods across more than thirty categories, and produces over 400,000 unique food plans, with each one mapping to the specific, individual needs of a specific, individual woman.

We know that change can start with the next bite.
